GOMOD treats our data as assets that must be protected against
loss and unauthorized access. We use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, a
secure server, and security protocol to safeguard the information you provide
to us. The SSL protocol allows us to receive information that your Web browser
encrypts and transmits to us. SSL encryption technology is designed to prevent
the unauthorized viewing and downloading of your order information.
You must make sure your browser supports SSL protocol (usually be indicated by the appearance of a "closed lock" somewhere on your browser.) If your browser is does not support SSL protocol, when you attempt to submit secure information (e.g., submitting information on a secure order form,) you will usually receive a warning indicating you are being directed to a secure site.
Be aware, if your browser is does not support SSL protocol, your browser will not prevent you from submitting information. The most recent versions of Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer can support a secure connection and can be downloaded for free from the Netscape and Microsoft Web sites respectively. GOMOD is not liable for secure information submitted using a browser that does not support SSL protocol.
Internally, we restrict access to personally identifiable
information to employees who need access to the information in order to do
their jobs. We review our Web security, and our security policy and practices
with employees on a monthly basis. We take seriously the issue of safeguarding
your privacy online, and we exercise great care to secure your personal
identifiable information.
To provide you with an increased level of security,
access to your personal information is protected with a password you select in some site areas such as the Message Boards, Classified Ads, and Auctions. We
strongly recommend that you do not disclose your password to anyone. GOMOD will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited
communication (including unsolicited correspondence such as letters, phone
calls or e-mail messages.)
Although no data transmission over the Internet can
be guaranteed to be 100% secure, we will do our best to ensure the security of
your information on our systems. As a result, while we strive to protect your
information, GOMOD and its affiliates cannot ensure or
warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.
